Prime Minister warns public not to drink milk
Children in the south west have been admitted to hospital after drinking contaminated milk.
The prime minister has warned the general population to dispose of any milk and dairy products they have in their homes and not to purchase any more.
It has emerged that the contamination may have come from animal feed.
Miller milk group are working with the National Union of Farmers to investigate this issue fully and are still waiting for results.
A statement released by Masda, one of the largest milk retailers, said: “With regards to the recent milk contamination issue, we have removed all milk from the affected stores.
“We advise anyone that has purchased milk in the past week to discard it and seek medical expertise if they experience further issues.”
The chief scientist has said not to panic and if you have any symptoms to go to the hospital or ring 999.
