The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow this weekend

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice for Friday and Saturday.

Storm Caroline will bring storm force winds across Scotland, combined with frequent snow showers. Mild, wet and windy across England and Wales at first, turning brighter and colder later. Blustery snow showers will bring significant accumulations to parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland tonight.

What is a yellow warning?

A yellow warning is the lowest level, rising in severity through amber to red for the most severe weather.

Severe weather is possible over the next few days and could affect you. Yellow means that you should plan ahead and think about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your everyday activities.
