A lorry driver has pleaded guilty to causing serious injury after the lorry he was driving crashed into a bridge in August 2016.
Alan Austen’s lorry crashed into the bridge, causing it to collapse.
The cost of the crash was £1.5 million, which also injured a motorcyclist.
He had originally plead not guilty in Maidstone Crown Court, but changed his plea earlier.
Judge Philip Statman said it was “remarkable” no-one died as a result of the incident.
