Assault In Canterbury Puts Woman In Hospital

An East Kent hunt saboteur was taken to hospital following an assault in Canterbury

The gang of hunt saboteurs (SAB’s) aimed to stop the hunters killing foxes however encountered a dangerous situation.

The SAB’s allegedly had equipment stolen, were attacked and had one girl taken to hospital with a broken rib.

A member of the East Kent SAB’s says:

“The girl in question is out of hospital with suspected broken ribs, and is in great pain.

“The man who did it has been identified.

“As it is a “live” investigation we cannot comment anymore”

Kent Police were called to the incident at 2pm following a report of a disturbance.

Steve Knight, Kent Police Press Office, says:

“Kent police was called at 2.02pm on Saturday 16 December to a report of a disturbance on land off Alkham Valley Road in Alkham, near Folkestone.

“Officers attended and spoke to members of a group who reported that assaults had been committed against them by others who had since left the location.

“Enquiries into the allegations are ongoing”
