If you are a drag queen or king in the making, a choir, singer or comedy act, then the Pride stage could be yours to perform on and share your talent with the rest of us on the big day.
Pride Canterbury are calling for performers to come forward for the third anniversary of Pride in the city on the 9 of June, in the Dane John Gardens.
Delilah Tickles will be hosting the event and you could be performing on the same stage as some amazing acts like, S Club, Abalicious and season 10, Ru Paul’s Drag Race contestant The Vixen.
We asked the Chairman of Pride Canterbury, Edd Withers why Pride is so important, he said: “Pride Canterbury is a community event, so it’s important to us that we give the community a chance to shine! Most choose to dress up and take part in our parade.”
Talking about the opportunity for performers he added: “for those with extra special talents we have a community stage for them to showcase their skills, be that singing, drag, comedy or anything in between!”
Edd says they are looking for acts that are Confidence, talented and fun.
All applications will be looked at by Pride event organisers, they are looking for a wide range of styles and a variety of acts, they are open until Monday 21st May, so you still have time to get your applications in.
