Gravesend drug dealer jailed

A man from Gravesend has been jailed for three years after he was found with 40 wraps of heroin and cocaine on him.

Jebb Green was arrested by policemen after an on-duty Kent Police officer observed his shaking hands with a suspected drug user near the town centre.

The 27-year-old from Gordon Road in Belvedere pleaded guilty to one count of possessing cocaine with intent to supply and another count of possessing heroin with intent to supply.

He was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court.

The court heard that on 14th April 2018 a police officer had become suspicious of an unknown man who he bserved pacing backwards and forwards in the Rouge Lane area while constantly looking at his phone.

Around two minutes later he was seen meeting with Green in the Windmill Road area. The pair then shook his hand – a technique often used by drug dealers to discreetly exchange drugs for money.

Detective Constable Daniel Bister, the investigating officer for this case, said: ‘Green was arrested following a very good piece of proactive policing work and I welcome the sentence he has received.

‘I would encourage anyone with information on drug activity to report it to us on 101 so that we can take the necessary action.’
