Police appeal for witnesses after series of assaults

Police are appealing for witnesses after following a series of assaults in Dover.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested for the crimes, which took place on Saturday 12 May 2018 in High Street and Folkestone Road at 1pm.

The accused reportedly launched unprovoked attacks on two cyclists shortly after assaulting a 26-year-old man. He has now been released on bail

Investigating officer Annmarie Benson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assaults, or anyone who may have been assaulted themselves. In particular I would like to hear from the cyclists that witnesses tell us were assaulted by the suspect.”
