Thanet residents have been given the opportunity to be reunited with their stolen belongings following reports of vehicle theft.
Kent police received a high number of calls regarding attempted theft and thefts from cars in Minster between 3rd and 4th of November this year, and are holding a property identification day where victims will have the chance to claim back their stolen items.
The property show, which will take place on December 1st at the Minster and Monkton Royal British Legion Social Club, will hold a number of stolen items, including satnavs, sunglasses and bags.
‘We have a large collection of items we are hoping people will identify,’ said Detective Constable Keith Rochford. ’If people can bring along details of serial numbers, photos or any kind of proof the items are theirs we can reunite them with their belongings.’
Two people, a 45-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from the Ramsgate area, were arrested earlier this month, meanwhile officers continue to investigate.
If you have information or CCTV footage that could help with the investigation please phone Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/ZY/65966/18.
Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555111.
