Ashford’s festive Carnival of the Baubles returns

The Carnival of the Baubles will make a return tomorrow with a spectacular procession of giant illuminated lanterns and baubles lighting up Ashford town centre.

Love Ashford has teamed up with Emergency Exit Arts, Made in Ashford and Revelation Ashford this Christmas to welcome back the family-friendly parade.

Hundreds of decorations from local primary schools will be featured in the procession starting at Elwick Place at 5pm, making it up to Bank Street and through the Lower High Street where it will come to festive end.

Come along and watch a spectacular procession of giant illuminated lanterns and baubles make its way through the town centre.

You can expect to see a special appearance from Emergency Exit Arts festival favourite, Disco Turtle- a large scale mechanical puppet accompanied by its own DJ playing the best disco tunes.

The disco themed fun will continue at the bandstand with a dance party.

Followed by a joyous dance showcase from Liv2dance, bringing the night to an end at 8pm.

Free arts and crafts workshops will take place throughout the day at Made in Ashford’s brand new workshop space.

You can make your own lantern from willow and tissue paper just in time for the procession, or choose to make your own lantern at home with some recycled materials!

The day will also include live music from the bandstand brought to you by Revelation Ashford.

The day will include:
