Coronavirus: Deaths in Kent mapped out

The number of people who have died in Kent NHS trust hospitals has risen by 27.

This brings the total of COVID-19  deaths reported in care unit run by the trusts to 493.

18,748 people have now died in hospitals across the UK, with 112,467 confirmed cases of the virus., but with these numbers not including deaths outside of hospitals the total is likely to be much higher.

NHS England’s data breaks down the deaths by NHS trust, with each trust serving one or more different hospitals.

The map below shows you the numbers for each trust that operates in Kent, as well as which hospitals each trust covers.

Click on each red cross to find out the name of the trust alongside the number of deaths each trust has had.

Coronavirus deaths in Kent by hospital trust

Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust (runs Darent Valley Hospital): 128 deaths 

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (runs Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital): 73 deaths 

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (runs Kent and Canterbury Hospital, William Harvey Hospital, QEQM Hospital, Buckland Hospital, and Royal Victoria Hospital): 167 deaths 

Medway NHS Foundation Trust (runs Medway Maritime Hospital): 108 deaths 

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust: 16 deaths 

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust: 1 death
