Four Kent teams fight for promotion dreams
Sittingbourne FC play in the Isthmian League South East play off final match against Burgess Hill Town on Friday in front of a 1600 sell-out crowd at The Staxson Stadium.
In the two previous meetings the teams have had this season Sittingbourne won 2-0 away from home and the teams drew the reverse fixture 1-1.
Sittingbourne are unbeaten in nine consecutive games and will be confident that they can join fellow Kent team Ramsgate in gaining promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division.
In the Isthmian League Premier Division playoff final Dartford and Dover Athletic will face off on bank holiday Monday at Princes park.
When the two faced off earlier this season Dover won 5-1 at home whereas later in the season Dartford would get their own back winning 3-1 at Princes Park.
With the game being at Princes Park Dartford will be confident that they can repeat the feat in this crucial tie and secure promotion to the National League South.
Maidstone United have their National League South playoff semifinal tie against Eastbourne Borough on Saturday at Priory Lane.
Maidstone are the lowest ranked side in the playoff bracket and so no matter how far they get through the playoffs they’ll never be able to play at the Gallagher which has been a fortress for them this season beating Eastbourne there 3-1 earlier this season.
However, after beating Worthing away in their first playoff game, who finished on the same points as Eastbourne this season they’ll be confident they can make it over the hurdle they fell at last season and reach the playoff final.
