Kent Police appeals for a key witness

Kent Police is in search of an important witness who helped the victim during a rape incident in Folkestone.

The witness had left the scene by the time medical crews arrived.

The man who helped the victim is described as black, in his early 20s, and around 5ft 10inc tall with a medium build.

Detective Sergeant Lewis Tompsett, officer for the case, said:

“We know he helped the victim and therefore believe he may have important information that can help us progress with our enquiries.

“There is no suggestion this man is in any way involved in the offence.”

This incident happened in Payers Park at around 11.30pm on Tuesday 22 October 2019.

Three people have already been arrested in connection to this incident. Among them is a thirteen year old boy.
