Gravesend Sex offender given 11-year sentence

A sex offender from Gravesend was sentenced for 11 years after pleading guilty at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday.

Stefan Turner, 27, was found guilty of raping a child under 13 years old. As well as causing a child to engage in sexual activities. Along with two other counts of sexual assault occurring between January 2014 and August 2018.

PC Zoe Langdale of North Kent Vulnerable Investigation Team said: “We have a team of specialist officers who work relentlessly to ensure that offenders like Turner are brought to justice. Anyone who reports abuse is treated with the utmost sensitivity and care by our officers and we encourage victims to have the courage to come forward.”

Turner voluntarily attended the station to talk to the police back in September this year. He has been added to the sex offenders register indefinitly.
