Police have made arrests in connection with the theft on Monday that left Wildwood Discovery Park short of funding.
Wildwood Discovery released CCTV footage to the public in hope of finding the culprits. The video was shared online over 800 times and viewed over 30 thousand times.
Peter Smith, the founder and director of the animal sanctuary, told The Canterbury Hub: “Wildwood Trust are enormously grateful to all our supporters who assisted us in helping the police with their enquiries which led to these arrests and hope justice will prevail.
“The police responded magnificently and it was inspirational to see such dedicated police officers in action as we assisted getting evidence for their investigation.”

A donation page was created for Wildlife Discovery to fund the missing money to carry on the appeal. Mr Smith continued to describe the rescue appeal:
“The rescue project has had some success over the last 16 years, as we help to breed dormice and reintegrate them into the British countryside.”
“Our supporters have rallied to our help with many giving donations to our dormouse appeal and we now have more funds to carry on our vital work to protect the dormouse from extinction in the UK.”
The public are still donating in hope to help the organisation recover from the theft.
