Woman charged with seven offences of shoplifting in Dartford

Kent Police were called to an incident in Dartford last Sunday after a woman was reported to have taken a bottle of wine without paying.

The woman then assaulted a shop worker after trying to leave the supermarket in Priory Market Place.

When the woman was confronted, the bottle is said to have been deliberately damaged.

The 33-year-old was arrested by officers on Sunday afternoon and is reported to have also assaulted a Police Constable and a Police Community Supporter Officer. As well as this, she allegedly damaged a police van and was found in possession of a knife.

Dina Cuyela, of Eyvnsham Drive, has been charged with common assault, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, two counts of criminal damage, possessing a knife in a public place as well as a charge for theft.

Cuyela has been bailed and will attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday June 9.
