Duo arrested after police seize firearm during May Day stop and search

Two 20-year-olds have charged after Kent Police discovered a gun in their car on the A28, in Sarre, near Birchington last Wednesday. 

Police on patrol stopped and searched a car just before midnight on May 1 (Wednesday) when the weapon was discovered.

Robin Ling, 24, from Westgate-on-Sea was arrested along with Charlie Anderson, 24, from Canterbury.

The pair were charged with the possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

They have been remanded in custody and will next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on June 3.
