Police seize £1k of cannabis in Tonbridge car search

Kent Police officers stopped a car in the Quarry Hill area, near Tonbridge on Tuesday 7 and found a large quantity of the marijuana with a street value of £1,000.

The vehicle was stopped at about 2.20pm, when a 38-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

He was subsequently released from custody pending further enquiries.

Other drug-related equipment was recovered, including digital scales and vacuum-packing device, alongside 5 mobile phones from the silver Volkswagen Golf.

Sergeant Ashley Boxall of the Tonbridge Community Safety Unit said:

‘Kent Police takes a zero tolerance approach to anyone suspected of supplying drugs and is committed to keeping harmful substances off our streets.
