Firefighters’ Memorial Day is also known as St Florian’s day.
Saint Florian is the patron saint of firefighters and an old legend says that he put out a huge blaze with just one bucket of water, saving a village from ruin.
Today is National Firefighter's Memorial Day or St. Florian's day. Here at Ladywood we'll be taking time today, to remember all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. #firefighter #stflorian #firefightermemorialday pic.twitter.com/y40JpbFXFo
