Crash on M20 between Maidstone and Ashford

Kent Fire and Rescue service were called with reports of a person who was trapped after a crash on the M20 coastbound.

The crash was between Junction 8 for Hollingbourne and Junction 9 for Ashford.

Two fire engines had attended, with crews using hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue the person.

They are now in the care of paramedics.

The M20 has been closed in both directions with Emergency services remaining at the scene.

It has been advised that people check for traffic advise before travelling.
