Canterbury Easter supermarket opening times 2024: When are Aldi, Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s open?
Supermarkets across the city will change their opening hours ahead of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Good Friday falls on March 29, Easter Sunday on March 31 and Easter Monday on April 1.
Many people might need to go on a last-minute dash to stock up on Easter eggs, while others might use the time off for their big shop.

Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s will keep their usual opening hours on Good Friday and Easter Saturday. The supermarket will be shut on Easter Sunday and have slightly adjusted opening hours on Easter Monday.

Easter Saturday- 7am to 10pm
Easter Sunday- Closed
Easter Monday- 8am to 8pm
Aldi
The two Aldis in the city will have the same opening hours over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Good Friday- 8am to 10pm

Easter Sunday- Closed

Tesco Extra
Both Tesco extras will also have the same opening times as one another. Their Friday and Saturday hours will stay the same. The shop will be shut on Easter Day and have slightly reduced opening hours on Bank Holiday Monday.

Asda
The shop will be shut two hours earlier on Good Friday and Easter Monday, but the opening times will remain unchanged on Easter Saturday. Asda will be closed for the entirety of Easter Sunday.
