Take part in the Canterbury Easter trail

The Spring Window Trail is starting next week in the run-up to Easter.

The free event starts next week on March 25 and is set to run until the March 31 in the Cathedral Quarter, which will be home to a range of spring-inspired displays in nearby shop and cafe windows.

Followers of the trail can use QR codes to vote for their favourite display, with the first 30 customers who spend £30 in the shops and cafes taking part winning a free packet of wildflower seeds to create your own spring garden at home.

Display from Canterbury Pottery

Canterbury Pottery, which has been in business for 61 years from this summer, is one of the many shops taking part.

Jan Chapman, who created their Easter display, has said: “We always look forward to Easter as there is always so many things going on and the Cathedral gets really busy, it starts the tourist season off.

“What we’re hoping for is to make Canterbury look really festive and attractive.”

Other stores and cafes taking part in the competition include Happy & Glorious, Lost Sheep Coffee, Wrapped! and The Refillery.
