CCTV image released following ‘sexual assault’ in Canterbury

Officers investigating a report of a sexual assault in Canterbury have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

A woman reported that between 11.50pm on April 27 and 12.20am the following morning, she was touched inappropriately over clothing by a man in the high street.

Following the incident, the suspect allegedly was seen walking towards Castle Street.

As part of their investigation, officers have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify, as he might have information that could help their case.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image, is urged to contact police at 01843 222289, referencing case number 46/69743/24.

An anonymous tip can also be submitted through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111.

They provide avenues for anonymously reporting non-recent, non-urgent incidents online.

In cases of emergency, they stress the importance of dialing 999 immediately.
