Kent nurse leaves hospital after defeating the coronavirus

A nurse who contracted the Coronavirus has left Darent Valley Hospital after recovering from the virus.

Kunjunjamma Babu, a Sister on Cherry ward, was admitted to the hospital April 12 suffering with COVID-19.

She then received treatment on Palm ward. All the nurses on the ward were all ecstatic to see their colleague recover so well and go back to her family.

The Darent Valley Hospital Sister was ‘overwhelmed’ when she received a guard of honour from her colleagues.

She said: “I cannot thank my colleagues enough for taking such good care of me, I am so happy to be going home and overwhelmed by the guard of honour”.
