CRIME:

9.30: A 36-year-old man has been given a two year sentence for his use of controlling behaviour against his former partner.

Jon Horvath of Tontine Street, Folkestone denied the charge but later changed his plea after Kent Police provided evidence in court.

TRAVEL:

10.28: The A2 is closed in both directions in Wincheap after a two vehicle crash. Two fire engines are currently at the scene.

10.54: A man has been seriously injured in a crash on the A2. Traffic is currently queuing four miles away from the crash.

11.48: The coast-bound carriage way has now been reopened after the arrival and exit of the air ambulance. The London bound side of the carriage way still remains closed.

11.50: Traffic is now being diverted through Canterbury.

12.30: A2 now fully open after a crash left a man with serious injuries.

CRIME:

13.55: A 21-year-old man from Dagenham has been arrested in Margate this morning after Police were investigating drug dealing in the Thanet area.

Officers arrested a man on Harold Road, Margate. Cash and a substance believed to be Class A drugs were recovered.

TRAVEL:

14.47: M25 clockwise blocked at the QE2 Bridge due to a broken down lorry.
