Man charged with indecent exposure in park near Maidstone

A man has been charged after allegedly exposing himself to a child in Mereworth, near Maidstone.

Kent Police were called to a playground off of Butchers Lane last Saturday following reports that a man approached a child and indecently exposed himself. 

Martyn Palmer, 49 from Mereworth was charged with engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child after appearing in Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on May 3.

Palmer has been remanded in custody until his next hearing on June 1 which will be at Maidstone Crown Court.
