Paedophile jailed for six years after attempts to abuse five-year-old

An online paedophile from Norwich has been jailed for six years after travelling to Surrey last year with the intention of sexually abusing a child.

Carl Windsor, 29 from Norwich planned to travel to Surrey to meet with a man who he had been talking to online, and with the intention of sexually abusing a 5 year old girl.

He was interrupted by officers from Kent Police on Friday 22nd January 2016 who had been investigating him. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Detective Constable Jo-anne Gordon of Kent Polices paedophile online investigation team, wants to ensure the public that her and the team do everything they can to help protect the public.

“The evidence we gathered against Carl Windsor displayed an obvious desire to carry out sexual acts on a child.

We will do everything in our power to proactively target people who seek to commit sexual offences against children and ensure they receive a prison sentence. ”

Allegations arose that Carl Windsor had sexually abused a 9 year old girl, so a joint investigation with Lancashire Police was launched.

Windsor denied the offences but later pleaded guilty to arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and sexual assault.
