It was a privilege to join fellow Councillors Leslie Pearton, Helen Ashenden & Adam Holloway MP in attending the Higham #Coronation Celebration this afternoon. Where better than Royal Tunbridge Wells to celebrate the Coronation. And with a tea dance, big screens and street theatre planned, it’s going to be hosting a right royal celebration! @TWellsTourism https://t.co/cCo7IU13b8 pic.twitter.com/oW905tfGAP

Many expressed their anger after it was found that the one district council vetoed an idea to give heating money to community groups last year but this year spent Β£50,000 on Coronation celebrations. It was also revealed that the 50,000 was taken from its community funds used for charities.
This is shocking and disgusting. The council put hereditary billionaire King before the people who pay taxes toward his travel, visits, etc. Forcing people and children to struggle and go without food. #AbolishTheMonarchy #NotMyKing https://t.co/09rRlpcmSn

Also Tories : Here’s Β£50k for the coronation
This year – Tory Council Bromley takes Β£50k from their community fund for coronation

Unfortunately it is true. Bromley council spent 50k on celebrations for the coronation out of their community fund which is reserved for charities and food banks.
