St Patrick’s Day 2024: Bars and clubs celebrating in Canterbury

Traditionally St Patrick’s day commemorates the death of St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Over the years his death has spiralled into a celebration of the Irish culture, such as dancing, parades, food and drink, and lots of green attire!
So, if you fancy a night out this weekend, then look no further as we are about to show you some of the best places to visit in Canterbury for a St Patrick’s day night out!
The Penny Theatre:
The Penny Theatre are offering a week of great deals until the 17th of March.
Enjoy the luck of the Irish with 2 for £7 shots or 6 for £14.
On the 16th and 17th March the celebrations continue with a St Patrick’s day Bottomless Brunch, with a free shot on arrival and special themed cocktails.
Boom Battle Bar:
If you want a night of adrenaline pumping games, then Boom Battle Bar is the place to be.
Partnering with Jameson, the bar are running a limited-edition drinks menu to 22 venues across the UK including Canterbury.

Wetherspoon pubs across the city will be getting into Irish spirit this weekend as traditional pints Guinness will be sold at £2.99 from the 15th March until the 17th.
Other deals include shots of baby Guinness at £2.99, Jameson + any mixer at £2.99, Andersons Irish Ale at £1.99 a pint and Budweiser at £2.99 a pint.
K-Bar:
At the University of Kent St Patrick’s day is definitely in full swing with a Karaoke Party!

‘Bed’ Mondays at The Cuban have embraced St Patrick’s day by hosting a themed St Patrick’s day themed party.
The bar located in the heart of the city centre will he giving away gold coins, Irish hats and even leprechauns!

Tokyo Tea Rooms:
Throwback anthem night has taken a very green turn at Tokyo tea rooms with a “We like to Paddy” green themed party.
Green confetti cannons, Irish bowler hats and plenty of baby Guinness shots will be at the centre of the bar this Saturday night, 16th March.
Club Chemistry:
Club Chemistry have two St Patrick’s day events this weekend on the 15th and 16th March, on Friday ‘Destination’ brings you a St Patrick’s day party and on the Saturday a green themed rave.
At both these events you can expect drinks from £2.80 and tickets from £4.

If you are a Canterbury Christ student, then the Students Union bar is the best place to kick start your celebrations this weekend, with pints of Guinness at £4.
