Twitter outrage after BBC’s ‘pathetic’ coverage of Canterbury’s inch-deep snow.
By Caitlin Elliott
Tweeters are in uproar after Canterbury was featured on BBC Breakfast this morning as part of their UK snow coverage.
BBC Breakfast’s live video link to Canterbury during this morning’s show saw their reporter informing viewers that there was ‘lots of snow’ and described it as ‘very heavy’
However, many viewers took to Twitter in disbelief of the BBC coverage of Canterbury’s weather:
BBC Breakfast just commented on the snow in Canterbury saying there's "quite a bit" I saw the pictures, there was a small dusting!

BBC please. Report on snow and treacherous conditions from Canterbury – the grass is still showing FFS

However, some tweeters gave a sour response to the ‘pathetic’ news:
Typical responce to a bit of snow and wind from the media. BBc breakfasts reporting on the snow in Canterbury is borderline pathetic #bbc

While some were sure the report of the minimalist weather had to be a joke:
The BBC coverage of the snow is a bit much. The reporter standing on a quarter of an inch of snow at Canterbury must be parody.
