Man charged over M20 bridge crash

A man is to appear in court following the collapse of a pedestrian bridge over the M20 motorway in August last year.

Kent Police were called at 12.07pm on Saturday 27 August 2016 to a report that a bridge had collapsed between junctions 4 and 3 on the London bound carriageway of the M20.

Following this a man has been charged with dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and three counts of criminal damage.

He is set to appear at Maidstone Magistrates Court on 17th February this year.
