A2 multiple car pile up

Kent Police are attending a number of collisions on the coastbound A2 near Bridge.

Officers were called at 6.49am on Friday 27 January to a report of multiple crashes involving up to eight vehicles.

Police, the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service are attending the scene.

The road has been closed near the A28 slip road while work is ongoing to clear the collisions.

Inspector Nick Sparkes advises motorists to take care across the county today due to freezing weather and icy roads.
