Extinction Rebellion take to the streets of Canterbury
Climate rebels, Extinction Rebellion, were out on Canterbury High Street this afternoon, not so long after their lone protester took to the streets a couple of weeks ago.
The four activists were out on a planned demonstration to hand out flyers, leaflets and talk to members of the public about their cause in a self described “non-disruptive protest”.
Join us for the XR Canterbury Friday Climate Strike 12-1pm. We will be in the middle of Canterbury High St near Nason’s defunct store. We will be talking to passers by about the imminent climate collapse on planet earth. We have no ‘Planet B’! #ClimateStrike #FridayCimateStrike pic.twitter.com/22kJ3s6JmM

Our reporter, Liam Daysh-Holmes, went down to the high street to talk to the rebels about why they were out talking to members of the public about their cause.
