Man pleads guilty to burglary in Swanley

A man has pleaded guilty to a burglary in Swanley.

In the early hours of Monday (May 2), Kent Police officers attended St Mary’s Road after receiving a report that men wearing balaclavas were carrying an object concealed under a blanket.

Following a short search, LLoyd Mosengo was located crouching a parked vehicle and was detained.

Kent Police searched the man and found gloves, a balaclava and a quantity of cash in his shoulder bag.

The officers also recovered two pairs of gloves, a safe and two carrier bags full of coins near the scene of the arrest.

Enquiries in the area identified a burglary at a restaurant in the town centre.

Mr Mosengo, of Chancellor Way, Dagenham was later charged with burglary.

The 22-year-old pleaded guilty at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (May 3).


He was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court and a court date to be confirmed.

A second man in his 30s, who was also arrested in connection with the investigation, was later released pending further investigation.
