New homes now placed on the market in Faversham

Hyde New Homes have successfully launched 26 new homes with a selection of two and three-bedroom houses off Ham road in Faversham.

The property developers have now put their properties on the market before the approaching completion date.

The Scheme named by developers as ‘The Goldings” was granted planning permission  in 2020 by Swale Council who supported the plan for the homes to be built for ‘affordable housing’.

The four-acre plot features 26 semi-detached and terraced houses which will be available to purchase through shared ownership, making it suitable for first time buyers and  young families.

Shared Ownership allows buyers to buy a percentage of a home while paying the remaining share to a landlord.

Developers have said with shared ownership at The Goldings, a two-bedroom house with a value of 270,000 would become more affordable for buyers with a 40 per cent share available for £108,000.

A 5 per cent lower deposit of £5,400 will also be requested.

The Goldings is described to have a  “village vibe” as it is located on the outer parts of the medieval town and will have 62 parking spaces for residents.

Developers Hyde New Homes have said: “we are delighted to reveal this fantastic development, which we have no doubt will become a hugely popular place to live.”
