Police stop car thieving trio using stinger in Maidstone

Three people have been arrested following the incident on December 14, in the Coxheath, Maidstone area.

A stinger device was used to stop the suspected stolen car that made off from patrols in Maidstone.

The car failed to stop for police but was brought to a stop after a stinger device was used in Tovil Road.

The three occupants of the vehicle promptly left the scene and fled on foot but were quickly caught.

Two men aged 20 and 24 and a 17 year old boy all from Maidstone were taken into custody on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

All three were later released pending an investigation.
