New Queer bar comes to Kent
CAMP, a New LGBTQIA+ Bar will be opening its doors on Northdown Road in Cliftonville, Margate this May.
Five friends, Sophie Brown, Jess hall, Olivia Lloyd, Jessica du Preez and Derek du Preez, who live in Margate , are setting up the venue to allow a safe community space and bar for the LGBTQIA+ community in thanet.

There will be a bar along side a karaoke room which will be available for private hire. CAMP will also be hosting Drag brunches, Pop-culture Quizzes, panel talks & discussions along with LGBTQIA+ film screenings.
The friend group have set up a crowdfund page to raise money to complete the building of the venue. Pledges will earn entries to a competition to win a £1000 bar tab once the venue is open.

The crowdfund has gained over 60 supporters with a total of £2,129 raised compared to their £10,000 target.
