Update: New cases of coronavirus in Kent towns despite vaccine drive
In less than two weeks, indoor hospitality, hotels and cinemas will be able to reopen as we reach the next stage out of lockdown.
Facing months of strict coronavirus restrictions and a hugely successful vaccination programme, Kent is still recording hundreds of new cases.
Almost 2,269,854 people in South East are now fully vaccinated, just behind the Midlands with over 2,641,545 fully vaccinated people.
According to government figures, the rolling average of daily deaths in Kent is now just 0.1 – which is a huge decline from January’s daily average of 50.
