Small Business Saturday comes to Kent

The campaign goes all over the UK, and today it’s in Canterbury.

Small Business Saturday promotes local businesses ahead of the Christmas period.

Amber Bush, their campaign manager, said:

We are encouraging people – on Small Business Saturday – to go out into their towns and find their local heroes rather than the big brands.

The tour started on the fourth of November, and brought with them freebies for business owners who came along.

They travel to around thirty towns and cities a year, bringing exposure and networking opportunities to small business owners.

This will follow Friday night’s ‘Late Night Extravaganza’ in Canterbury highstreet, where local businesses are giving locals a two hour window to indulge in special discounts these independent shops have to offer in honour of Black Friday. You can read more about it here:

It’s already moved to Whitstable, with its tour finalising next week in London.
