Social media reacts: Natalie Elphicke defects to Labour

The MP for Dover and Deal, Natalie Elphicke, had defected to the Labour Party and people on X had lot to say.

Hearing the news, people in and out of the political world took to the social media platform to make their opinions clear.

The former Conservative crossed the floor today, brandishing the Tory government as “tired and chaotic”

But the news was not received well by others.

Carol Vorderman, who in recent years has been active on social media calling out the government and wider Conservative Party was less pleased.

Mrs. Elphicke came under fire after she criticised Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford for ‘playing politics.’

Kevin Maguire is an associate editor for The Daily Mirror and voiced his opinion.

Marcus Rashford was awarded an MBE for his work campaigning to give free school meals to disadvantaged children during the pandemic.
