The Tyler’s Kiln pub introduces cheapest pint since 1999

Surely it’s too good to be true?

With students ditching the hardcore nightlife for cosy nights on Netflix, one pub in Canterbury is going the extra mile to get people off their sofa’s this winter.

The Tyler’s Kiln pub on Hackington Road, Canterbury is taking the pub back to the 90’s and is offering a pint for just £2. For many students in Canterbury the price cut could be revolutionary, with many students opting for a tee-total lifestyle to save money, this pint could be the holy grail.

For those students missing the comforts of home, the pub not only offers a bargain on alcohol but serves home cooked meals in their fine dining restaurant by the fire.
Serving British favourites such as the Turkey dinner, fish and chips and steak, this multi award winning pub has everything to offer.
Allister Collins, the owner of Tyler’s Kiln said, “The use of pubs, especially for social drinking and particularly in the 18-24 age group has been declining for quite some time.

“The inspiration behind the £2 pints is therefore to encourage people to return to the pub and enjoy a round with their mates without breaking the bank, and in so doing, customers are supporting not only a local business but also a truly British pastime.”

“For just £10, you and 4 of your mates can head down The Tyler’s Kiln and sup on a pint of beer or a glass of wine next to our roaring open fire whilst soaking up the atmosphere of a true British pub.”
If you thought the £2 pint was a blessing, the deal also runs on any medium wine, cider lager and any soft drink so if beer isn’t your drink of choice you aren’t left out.
Not only can you enjoy a drink and a meal for the fraction of the price, but the pub offers to pay your taxi fare home if you spend £40 or more in the restaurant, so you and your friends can travel for free with Longley’s.
