GALLERY: Christmas fanatics go above and beyond in Ashford

With Christmas spirits rising, people all over the County are raising the roof (literally!) with their decorations this year. With so many sparkles, lights and Santa’s on offer we had a look at some of Ashford’s finest.

They’ve got it all, from Christmas nativities to window projections and even a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ themed garden. To say the residents of Ashford are making the most of this years festivities would be an understatement!.

The average Brit is estimated to spend around £31 on Christmas decor but it is easy to see that the South East have exceeded all expectations. With Ashfordian’s illuminating the night, we are spoiled for choice this holiday season with creativity oozing from the gardens of every suburb in the town.

Bybrook, Kennington

Bybook, Kennington: This hidden gem is in the backstreets of Kennington and has everything on offer. The perfect mixture of cute and festive, inflatables of Santa, reindeer and a snowman make this a favourite with the kids. The lights are very intense and make for great photos, with a mixture of traditional and modern all ages can enjoy this house.

Church Hill, Park Farm

Church Hill in Park Farm never fails to please. Year on year this beautiful montage of decorations make an appearance but it never loses its novelty. The garden even hosts its own Santa’s grotto, with something for all ages and tastes, this house always gains attention. Positioned just opposite the Queens Head pub, you can even enjoy the view with a mug of hot chocolate.

The residents of this house clearly enjoy the Christmas festivities and encourage people to take as many photos as they like in front of the property.

Wootton Road, Stanhope

Wootton Road in Stanhope can be seen for miles. The house boasts an array of lights, a stunning archway and a range of decorations, what more could you ask for from a free attraction?. This property has definitely gone above and beyond in preparation for Christmas and local residents have spoken out:

“Every year this house puts on its best show, decorations are added annually and I always take my children to this house, they love it!”.

Situated on a quiet road, this stunning canvas is easy to enjoy without the worry of parking.

 

Dove Close, Park Farm

Dove Close in Park Farm doesn’t go overboard with their decorations, but is worth a visit- the lights glimmer from the shrubbery surrounding the property and although simplistic the decor never fails to spark that Christmas feeling.

With reindeer and polar bears gracing the front lawn, this low-key house is a favourite amongst the residents of Park Farm.
